Bathroom remodeling plumbing
The plumbing is what makes or breaks a bathroom remodel. We set new tubs and shower bases, run the supply and drain for new sinks, and install the faucet fixtures you picked so they work as well as they look. We coordinate with your tile and finish crews or bring our own.
In a bathroom remodel, the plumbing is the part you can't see and can't redo cheaply once the tile is up. A shower valve set at the wrong depth, a tub drain that wasn't tested, a shower base without proper support: these are the mistakes that turn into a ceiling stain downstairs two years later.
We install new tubs, shower bases, sinks and faucet fixtures, and we do the rough-in behind them: moving drains, setting valves at the right depth for your finished wall, replacing old galvanized or lead stubs while the walls are open, and testing everything before it gets covered.
We work with your contractor and tile setter, or directly with you if you're running the project yourself. Bring us in before the fixtures are ordered and we'll save you from the ones that won't fit your rough-in.

Can you install fixtures I bought myself?
Yes. Send us the model numbers before you buy if you can. Some valves and drains need a specific rough-in, and it's easier to check first than to return a tub.
Do I need a permit to remodel a bathroom?
In most suburbs, moving or adding plumbing requires a permit and inspection; swapping a fixture in the same location usually does not. Requirements vary by village, and we'll tell you what yours needs.
Should I replace old pipes while the walls are open?
If they're galvanized steel or the drains are old cast iron in poor shape, yes. It costs far less with the walls open than after the new tile is up.
